Doug has been playing drums for twenty years. He was born and raised in New Jersey. He has been with Split since 1997. Doug is currently endorsed by Drum Workshop drums, hardware and pedals, Vater sticks, Aquarian drum heads, Sticks Grip, and Sabian cymbals. Aside from working full time with the band, Doug teaches percussion part time as well as continuing his own studies with drumming master Dom Famularo. Doug has also studied many years with Philadelphia drumming legend Jay Bruno. Some of Doug's favorite bands/artists are Rush, Cold, Dishwalla, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, King Diamond, The Police, Sting, W.A.S.P., Kiss, Ozzy Osbourne and Disturbed.
